Description
Height:110cm(43.31in), Width:68cm(26.77in), Thick:50cm(19.69in)Stone polychrome seated Guanyin Bodhisattva statue. The Bodhisattva sits in relaxed posture with high headdress and ribbons hanging on shoulders. Gentle serene face with half-closed eyes. Ornate jewelled necklaces, flowing sashes and layered robe folds are delicately carved. Traces of ancient pigment and aged patina remain on the stone surface. Crafted following Tang-Song Chinese Buddhist sculptural tradition, it features elegant modelling and superb carving, a substantial fine stone Buddhist sculpture.
