The frontispiece bears imperial calligraphy "Dragon Soaring and Phoenix Leaping", covered with Qing palace collection seals. The core content is imperial letter written in Emperor Huizong??s distinctive slender gold script, featuring sharp, elegant brushwork. Interspersed paintings of plum blossoms, birds and hibiscus enrich the scroll. Multiple ancient connoisseurs?? colophons are attached at the end, preserved in original antique silk mounting. Emperor Huizong invented the unique Slender Gold calligraphic style. Integrating calligraphy and flower-and-bird painting, this scroll possesses great artistic and historical value.
