Description
Long:1016cm(400.00in) Width:36cm(14.17in)Running script scroll on silk. The frontispiece bears imperial calligraphy "Exquisite Brushwork" inscribed by the Qianlong Emperor, covered with Qing imperial collection seals. The core content is Mi Fu??s running script Poem at Duojing Tower, featuring unrestrained, vigorous brushwork known as Mi??s famous "brushing stroke". Interspersed landscape and flower paintings alternate with calligraphy. Numerous ancient scholar colophons are attached at the end, preserved in original antique silk mounting. As one of Four Great Song Calligraphers, Mi Fu created distinctive running script. This scroll integrates poetry and painting, representing precious Song dynasty calligraphic heritage.
