Long:1125cm(442.91in) Width:35.7cm(14.06in)Ink landscape scroll on silk. The frontispiece bears imperial calligraphy title inscribed by the Qianlong Emperor, covered with Qing imperial collection seals. The scroll depicts distant hills, sparse trees and streams with light, concise brushwork, embodying Ni Zan??s signature tranquil, minimalist literati landscape style. Colophons by ancient connoisseurs are attached at the end, preserved in original antique silk mounting. As one of Four Great Yuan landscape masters, Ni Zan founded the subtle, serene Jiangnan landscape aesthetic. This scroll represents distinguished Yuan literati painting.
