Description

Weight:3500g(7.72lb) H:37cm(14.57in) D:12.5cm(4.92in) This is a gilded bronze standing statue of Sakyamuni Buddha from the Ming Dynasty. Cast from fine bronze with overall gilding and mineral pigments, the statue stands on a double-layered lotus pedestal, with neat snail-shell curls and a compassionate, serene expression. The right hand is in the Abhaya Mudra (fearlessness gesture) and the left hand in the Varada Mudra (wish-granting gesture), clad in a shoulder-to-shoulder kasaya with flowing robe carvings. It fully embodies the solemn Dharma aura of the Buddha’s great compassion and universal salvation, representing a classic form of Ming Dynasty Chinese Buddhist statuary, embodying the exquisite craftsmanship and vigorous momentum of Ming Dynasty gilt-bronze statues.
