Lot 219:
Description
H:5.5cm(2.17in) W:15.5cm(6.10in) Weight:1060g(2.34lb)This censer is a masterpiece of Arabic inscription bronze censer in the Ming Dynasty, imitating the style of Xuande Furnace. Made of fine copper as the base, it forms a warm and mellow jujube-red patina after long-term use and oxidation. The censer body is in M-shaped (square bucket) shape, with halberd ears (square ears) on both sides and four feet below. The front opening is embossed with Arabic inscriptions (Shahada), with smooth fonts and a regular and grand shape. As a witness to the integration of Islamic culture and Han craftsmanship in the Ming (Qing) Dynasty, it is a treasure for incense burning in the study, symbolizing "peace and good luck", with extremely high artistic, historical and collection value.
