Height:22cm(8.66in)White marble relief Buddhist shrine carved from single stone with arched niche. Buddha sits relaxed inside the niche with circular halo behind head, right hand in Abhaya mudra and left hand in Varada mudra, gentle facial features and flowing robes. Below the Buddha are carved two deer and a child, depicting the scene of Buddha??s first sermon at Deer Park. The marble bears natural aged patina and residual ancient pigments, with weathered edges.
