Description
Long:848cm(333.86in) Width:39cm(15.35in)Running script scroll on silk. The frontispiece bears imperial calligraphy "Marvelous Charm of Jin Dynasty" inscribed by Qianlong Emperor, covered with Qing imperial collection seals. The scroll transcribes the famous literary work by Cao Zhi. The brushwork is mild, fluent and elegant, inheriting calligraphic essence of Wang Xizhi. Interspersed landscape and lotus paintings enrich the scroll, with many ancient scholar colophons attached at the end, preserved in original antique silk mounting. This scroll integrates classic literature and orthodox calligraphy, representing outstanding Yuan dynasty running script art.
