Description
H:50.2cm W:35.5cm Official blue-and-white celestial globe vase of Yongzheng reign, Qing Dynasty, straight long neck and huge spherical belly, top-tier imperial display porcelain of Ming and Qing. The whole body is covered with glossy white glaze, fully painted with continuous nine-dragon sea scene:Two ascending dragons decorate the neck; a central front-facing five-clawed dragon dominates the belly, surrounded by winding travelling dragons with fine scaled bodies, paired with auspicious clouds, flame pearls. Layers of surging ocean waves encircle the base, creating magnificent momentum. Dragon symbolizes imperial power; nine dragons stand for supreme royal authority and unified realm, exclusive imperial motif.A floral band trims the rim, full ocean wave patterns surround the foot, square seal script mark "Made in Yongzheng Reign of Great Qing" stamped at base. Multi-layer cobalt wash creates rich light-dark gradations for dragons, clouds and waves, steady emerald blue tone, grand meticulous painting. Large full-bodied shape makes it a landmark Yongzheng imperial dragon blue-and-white masterpiece, with great value for imperial cobalt wash craft research, royal ritual ceramic culture and monumental heavy porcelain collection.
