Description
H:11.2cm W:11.5cm Official blue-and-white stem offering cup of Qianlong reign, Qing Dynasty, with flared slant belly, contracted tall stem and flared base, standard imperial vessel for Buddhist altar offerings. The whole body is covered with mild glossy white glaze, fully decorated with interlocking precious lotus scrolls holding Sanskrit eight treasures symbols, drawn in precise delicate cobalt lines. The tall stem is divided into bands of upward lotus, folded flower sprigs and pearl garland patterns with neat clear layers.Lotus and Sanskrit are auspicious Buddhist motifs, symbolizing enduring Dharma and pure blessings. A standard seal script cobalt mark "Made in Qianlong Reign of Great Qing" is inscribed inside the stem foot. This vessel was produced under strict imperial kiln standards with steady emerald cobalt tone and thin solid clay-glaze, specially made for Buddhist worship. It holds great value for Qing official blue-and-white craft research, Buddhist ceramic pattern culture and imperial ritual vessel collection.
