Description
H:11cm(4.33in) D:17cm(6.69in) Weight:680g(1.50lb)This is a Song Dynasty Ding Yao white glaze jar, a representative type of the period. It has a melon-ribbed form with a constricted mouth, bulging belly, and foot, covered in warm ivory-white glaze with the characteristic ??tear-drop?? marks of Ding ware. The melon ribs on the body are plump and rounded, showing fine craftsmanship. The rim is gilded, protecting the easily worn edge and adding a touch of luxury.
