H:8.5cm(3.35in) W:26.3cm(10.35in) Weight:1920g(4.23lb)This is a Song Dynasty Jun Yao hexagonal narcissus basin, a typical scholar??s or display object of the period. It has an open mouth, sloping walls, and is supported by ruyi-head feet, giving it a dignified and stable form. The entire basin is covered in Jun Yao sky-green glaze, which is even and warm with fine crackles, lustrous like jade, embodying the aesthetic of ??the sky after rain?? for which Jun ware is famous. This piece was an elegant object for imperial display or scholar??s studios, valued both for use and high collectibility
