H:12.5cm (4.92in) W:6.5cm (2.56in) L:16.5cm (6.50in) Weight:948g (2.09lb) This ornament is a masterpiece of ancient jade craftsmanship in the Han Dynasty. Carved from Hetian white jade, it is decorated with gold and silver inlay and gem inlay techniques throughout. It is shaped like the ancient divine beast Tianlu (Bixie), holding its head high with a divine bird on its back. The whole body is inlaid with gold cloud patterns and geometric patterns, decorated with lapis lazuli, showcasing superb craftsmanship. Tianlu is a core auspicious symbol of warding off evil, praying for blessings and prosperity in traditional Chinese culture. This piece integrates ancient jade, gold and silver inlay and gem inlay craftsmanship, representing the peak of Han Dynasty jade craftsmanship for nobles, with extremely high historical, artistic and collection value.
