Description
Height:5cm (1.97in) , Diameter:26cm (10.24in) Shallow plate with flared rim and ring foot, well?proportioned and elegant. Central medallion is painted with branching gardenia with full?blossom blooms and stretching leaves. Inner wall is encircled by auspicious flowers and fruits including lotus, pomegranate and grape, symbolizing abundant progeny. The cobalt yields soft subdued blue tone typical of Hongzhi porcelain with fine brushwork and well?balanced composition. Base bears six?character underglaze?blue mark ??Da Ming Hong Zhi Nian Zhi?? within double circles. The glaze is lustrous and smooth, a fine representative of Hongzhi imperial blue?and?white ware.
