Description
H:26cm W:17cm Classic blue-and-white general jar with original pearl knob lid, featuring straight neck, full shoulders, plump tapering belly and flared ring foot, a mainstream decorative porcelain shape of Ming and Qing dynasties. The lid is painted with cloud motifs, while the neck is decorated with folded peony branches. The main body displays a continuous scene of ancient ladies in a garden courtyard, several women in traditional robes playing qin, holding fans and reading scrolls beside railings, rockeries and plants, with gentle delicate facial rendering and soft layered cobalt blue wash.Clean white glaze covers the base, marked with double cobalt blue circles at the center, a standard civilian kiln mark. The lady motif symbolizes elegant tranquil domestic life and peaceful times. The cobalt blue pigment presents bright smooth tone with concise fluent brush lines. General jars were originally used for storage and hall display. This piece features mild clay and glaze with intact coherent painting, holding great value for Ming-Qing blue-and-white figure porcelain research, traditional lady pattern culture and antique collection.
