L:500cm (196.85in) W:34cm (13.39in)This ink landscape long scroll dates to the Song Dynasty, with original red silk brocade mounting and silver cord tie. Multiple imperial frontispieces carry the Qianlong Emperor??s running script titles Transcend Natural Truth and Vital Ink Energy, plus imperial palace collection seals. The painting depicts distant cold woods, layered peaks, with withered trees and bleak riverbanks, rendered in sparse, powerful brushwork characteristic of Li Cheng??s cold forest landscape style. Poetic colophons on landscape themes by ancient connoisseurs are attached at the end. Once collected in the imperial palace, it has complete clear provenance
