Description
L:600cm (236.22in) W:52cm (20.47in)This running script poetry calligraphy long scroll on silk dates to the Tang Dynasty, with original floral-pattern silk brocade mounting and silver ribbon tie. The frontispiece bears large running script title Innate Natural Style on gold-speckled crimson silk decorated with cloud-dragon patterns, plus imperial palace collection seals. The main body is the Yuefu poem Ballad on the Tall Wall, handwritten in the 12th year of Zhenguan by Emperor Taizong Li Shimin, with powerful, expansive brush momentum. A ink orchid and rock painting is attached in the middle section, and colophons by ancient masters including Xiang Yuanbian and Wen Zhengming are appended at the end, with complete clear provenance
