20th Century Fabergé Gilt Fan-Form Antique Clock

20th-century antique Fabergé Imperial fan-shaped mantel clock. The case is crafted from rare precious mahogany with elegant lines resembling a miniature palace. Its edges and carrying handle are finished with lavish gilding, supported by stately paw-shaped feet for stable and imposing presence.The front is flanked by gilded garland-and-sword heraldic motifs, with a fan-shaped dial window serving as the focal point. The background is adorned with scrolling gilded foliage and floral ornamentation, while hour numerals are arranged sequentially along the fan curve. A central shell-shaped gilded ornament is inlaid with pearls, fully embodying the aristocratic aesthetic of the Imperial era.It features a distinctive retrograde pointer and fan-shaped numeral display. The hand travels along the fan trajectory to reveal the hours in sequence, creating a striking visual highlight distinct from conventional timepieces.A quintessential work in classic Fabergé style, it integrates Rococo and Neoclassical elements, inheriting the opulent craftsmanship of Russian Imperial court jewellery and horology. Magnificent and grand in design, it represents a rare category in European antique clock collecting. Well-preserved overall, bearing only natural signs of age consistent with its period.
