Late Victorian to Edwardian British (c.1890–1920) Silver-Plated Kettle with Swing Handle
Dimensions
Late Victorian to Edwardian period silver-plated kettle with swing handle, circa 1890–1920, manufactured by Anglo of England. An essential tableware piece for formal British tea gatherings of the era.The kettle features a smooth, full spherical body, raised on shell-form feet with scrollwork carved along the legs. The kettle detaches from the stand, which houses a built-in alcohol burner for heating and heat retention. A linked chain lock on the stand secures the kettle in place, presenting exquisite detailing and fine texture throughout.Both kettle and stand bear silver-plate marks and maker’s hallmarks. The piece remains intact overall, with natural age-related patina and minor signs of wear consistent with its period.
