Description
H:14.3cm(5.63in)W:7.3cm(2.87in)Weight:129g(0.28lb) This is a fine example of jade carving from the Warring States to Han period. The main body is an S-shaped dragon pendant carved from Hetian white jade, with a bronze component inlaid at the top. The dragon is coiled in a fluid ??S?? curve with powerful, elegant lines. The dragon head, tail, and cloud scroll details are vividly rendered, showcasing masterful openwork carving and the characteristic ??fine thread?? technique of the era. The surface bears natural earth and red patina, with a smooth, lustrous finish. The bronze component at the top is cast with a beast-mask motif, forming a unified piece with both practical and decorative functions. Such objects may have been part of a belt hook or composite pendant, offering important evidence of aristocratic dress culture in ancient China and demonstrating the sophisticated use of combined jade and bronze techniques.??
