Description
H:38.0cm(14.96in) W:24.0cm(9.45in) Weight:5400g(11.90lb)This statue is cast in bronze with partial gilding. Four-Armed Guanyin sits in lotus position on a lotus pedestal, wearing a five-leaf treasure crown with a compassionate and solemn expression. The main hands join in reverence at the chest, while the other two hold mudras, decorated with necklaces and bracelets, with smooth natural folds on the robes and an exquisitely decorated lotus pedestal. The base is inscribed with "Made on the 26th day of the 8th lunar month in the 18th year of Guangxu’s reign, brought from Rehe, Tibetan-style bronze Four-Armed Guanyin". It is a classic form of Tibetan Buddhist statue in the Qing Dynasty, with extremely high historical, artistic and religious value.
