L:27cm(10.63in)H:16cm(6.30in)This auspicious beast sculpture lies in a curled resting posture, with dragon head and beast body, featuring majestic dynamic visage with raised open mouth. It has an upright single horn, with delicate three-dimensional carving on neck scale patterns and mane spiral patterns, decorated with preserved original mineral red pigment on partial parts. The solid heavy bronze bears mild aged calm patina with weathered remnant gilt layer. With primitive grand shape, it is an exquisite talisman ornament for study paperweight and hall display of Ming Dynasty, symbolizing fortune-attracting and evil-repelling.
