Dimensions
Dimensions: Height 21cmWeight: 920gDescription: This Italian Art Nouveau silver pot, adorned with elaborate and intricate full hand-carvings, boasts complex craftsmanship and an exceptionally exquisite shape. It was handcrafted by a master Italian silversmith, with a substantial and heavy feel. The spout is lotus leaf-shaped; the body of the pot, underpinned by a fine rocaille-patterned background created with fish roe chiseling, is encircled by high-relief acanthus leaf motifs??mythical evergreen vines from ancient Greek legends. The base of the pot features medium-relief water lily leaf carvings, while all four feet are decorated with high-relief acanthus leaf patterns. The handle is a high-relief sculpture of figures??a human prince and a mermaid princess from the sea, kissing passionately in love. This silver pot is a rare artistic treasure from the Art Nouveau era, serving both as a silverware collectible and a wine pot for red wine, white wine, or cold beverages at important banquets. In European and American countries, silverware is not only a collectible work of art but also a hard currency asset for family wealth inheritance, which can be passed down through generations or liquidated. It is customary to present silverware to newlyweds, newborns, etc., as a blessing for a better life and a inheritance of wealth.
