Name

A BRONZE TRIPOD WITH A CURVED PATTERN FROM THE SPRING AND AUTUMN PERIOD

Dimensions

H:32.0cm(12.60in) W:29.0cm(11.42in) Weight:6150g(13.56lb)This ding is a high-grade bronze ritual vessel from the Zhou Dynasty, cast using the piece-mold method. It features the standard liding form: a round belly, upright handles, and three hoof-shaped legs. A band of interlocking S pattern (a variant of the double-ring pattern) decorates the rim, serving as a core physical witness to the Zhou Dynasty’s "Liding System". The bronze ding was an ancient symbol of royal power and status, used in sacrifices and feasts. With exquisite craftsmanship and natural patina, this ding is a national treasure-level cultural relic for studying Zhou Dynasty rituals and bronze craftsmanship, boasting extremely high historical, artistic and collection value.
