Description
Name
QING DYNASTY KESI DA HETIAN THANGKA
Dimensions
H:91cm(35.83in) W:72cm(28.35in)This Thangka is a national treasure of Tibetan Buddhism Kesi craftsmanship in the Qing Dynasty. Made of mulberry silk, it adopts the "passing warp and breaking weft" Kesi technique to meticulously weave the wrathful image of Mahakala (Black God of Greatness), the Dharma protector of Tibetan Buddhism. The main deity is dark blue, with three heads and six arms, stepping on mortals, surrounded by flames, with Dharma protectors and offerings around. The background is painted with auspicious clouds and landscapes, with a full composition, intense colors and extremely exquisite craftsmanship. As an important sacred object for Tibetan Buddhism, it symbolizes "protection, warding off evil spirits, attracting wealth and good fortune", with extremely high artistic, historical and religious collection value.
