Silver Hallmark: See the "875" and the Russian name of the silverware factory on the back of the spoon handleDimensions: L11.5cm, Weight: 87.8gDescription: These six pure silver-gilt enamel spoons, designed and manufactured in the former Soviet Union in Byzantine style, inherit the traditional luxurious silverware craftsmanship of the Russian Empire. Made of 875 silver, they are plated with a thick layer of gold to prevent oxidation and tarnishing. The spoon handles feature silver filigree decorations filled with turquoise-blue and lapis-lazuli-blue enamel, depicting curled plant stems and leaves. They serve both as tea/coffee spoons and collectibles.In European and American countries, silverware is not only a collectible artwork but also a hard currency asset passed down through families, capable of being handed down through generations or converted into cash. It is common to present silverware to newlyweds or newborns as a blessing for a better life and a inheritance of wealth.
