NORTHERN SONG DYNASTY RU KILN SKY BLUE GLAZED THREE-LEGGED WASHBASIN

H:5cmD:20.5cm This is a three-legged wash with sky blue glaze from the Northern Song Dynasty’s Ru Kiln, a classic work of the Ru Kiln, which is the top of the five famous kilns of the Song Dynasty. The lyrics of "Wuling Spring" inscribed inside the vessel read: "The door is closed to the east wind and people leave; later, sorrow soars the hearts of the orioles." A single plum blossom brings a touch of spring. The inscription by Emperor Huizong of the Song Dynasty indicates that it was once an imperial item and an important physical object of porcelain used in the Northern Song court.
