Weight:23000g(50.71lb) H:46cm(18.11in) L:48cm(18.90in) W:42cm(16.54in) This is a gilded bronze seated statue of Maitreya Buddha (Budai Monk) from the Ming Dynasty. Cast from fine bronze with overall gilding, the statue sits in a relaxed posture, with a plump belly and a broad smile, hands open in a natural gesture. The shape is full and vivid, fully embodying the auspicious meaning of Maitreya Buddha’s "eternal smile and boundless tolerance". It is a classic work of Ming Dynasty Buddhist statuary, carrying the cultural connotation of attracting wealth and good fortune, and embodying an optimistic and open-minded spirit.
